Need Ideas for this First Person Shooter Engine
Posted by ScottProductions2002 Dec. 21, 2009 @ 8:50 PM EST- Mouse to move / shoot
- R to reload
- C to crouch behind cover / come out of cover
- SHIFT to aim down the Iron Sights (Like in Call of Duty)
I think this is pretty cool so far, but my problem is, I have NO idea what to do with it. A game where you just shoot people then go behind cover may look cool but it will have no replay value.
Anyone got any ideas involving this engine?

Discuss / criticize what I need to do to better replicate the mission with the engine I've got so far.
Controls: Hold <SPACE> to spawn infinite enemies.
Switch Weapons: 1, 2, and 3
Shoot: Hold Mouse down

Posted by ScottProductions2002 Dec. 2, 2009 @ 11:06 PM ESTI'm making a quick game for the Stride Long Lasting contest at Kongregate, and my entry is a simple "Protect your fallen friend for as long as possible from mutant freak wtf things."
Anyway, one of the "abilities" you can use is control of an AC130 Gunship, (inspired by Call of Duty.) I think I handled the transfer from Call of Duty to Flash pretty well, and I want to know what the rest of you think.
(Sorry about the damn video capture logo)

Objective: Kill whoever is inside the Hummer.
Controls :
Shoot - Mouse 1
Hold Breath - Shift
Zoom In - UP Arrow
Zoom Out - DOWN Arrow
There will be a voiceover explaining your mission etc.
This is still all very very basic but this is a good taste of what is to come. Give me any suggestions or improvements you would like to see on this early version of the first level so I can make the rest just as good.
If you're having trouble completing the 5 second long mission, try aiming ahead of the car. Bullets don't instantly get to the exact target, so you need to aim ahead a little bit.

Assasin8 - First Mission Alpha
3 MB - No pre-loader. Allow 25 seconds to load. (The file will loop for some reason until it is fully loaded, then it will automatically play correctly.)
Sup.
For the past 2 months I've been working on a RPG in the "Slayer" universe I've created. Slayers of Valeron is a Neverwinter Nights / Baldur's Gate style of RPG, with all characters voiced, items, spells, quests, storylines, awesomeness, tits, etc.
I had to get Tom to raise my upload limit by almost double the normal limit, because this game has a shit-ton of voice acting, music, sound effects, 3d pre-rendered backgrounds, and all that good stuff.
I just finished the prologue and it's at 8 MB, so in a month or two and 18 MB later the game should be complete.

Man what a fucking epic season Finale. The show is so damn great. I won't spoil anything for those who missed it but I had to publically express how awesome it was. I'm excited to see the first episode of next season to see what happens.

Hello NG. Slayer II, one of the first First-Person sword fighting games, is due out within two weeks.
I'm still adding more attacks to the enemy you fight over the course of the game, to add as much variety as possible.
After I add voice acting and a proper God Of War button mashing style ending for the boss, the game will be complete.
Enjoy.

I'm working on both Slayer II and Cargo II at the same time. However, I'm going for as photorealistic as possible with Slayer so don't expect it for a while.

Unique Time-Stopping Madness Game Needs Animator(s)
Posted by ScottProductions2002 Mar. 15, 2009 @ 9:43 PM EDTHello NG,
I am working on a Madness game and I'm in need of some good animators to create some "bosses" and other characters. If you would like to apply, send me a PM with some of your work. It would help if you've had some Madness drawing experience as well.
Here is the game so far if you would like to know what you're dealing with. Press "Space" to stop time, and click to shoot. Space restarts time, and you can't be in Immobile Time for very long before the continuum shuts down.
